Performance Test Engineer

Job Overview

We seek a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in load/traffic modeling, load design, capacity planning, and performance testing. They should have extensive experience with tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, and others.

  • Develop and execute performance test plans and strategies to ensure system reliability, scalability, and stability
  • Conduct load/traffic modeling and analysis to simulate real-world scenarios and identify system bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand performance requirements and translate them into test scenarios
  • Design and implement load profiles and test scripts using tools like JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, etc
  • Perform capacity planning to anticipate system behavior under various loads and plan for scalability.
  • Analyze test results, identify performance issues, and work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve them
  • Generate comprehensive performance test reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in performance testing and share knowledge with the team
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and other technical forums to ensure performance considerations are addressed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance testing process
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in load/traffic modeling, load design, and capacity planning
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad, LoadRunner, etc
  • Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience – 3 to 5 Years

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Certification in performance testing (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification) is a plus.
